First, I wish to apologize for the delay in publishing the World Cup regulations this year (See copy attached).
The new rules on the minimum number of competitors per class decided last year by the Council which was going to be implemented this new season have been challenged by some Continental Directors. The Council has decided new rules which are now included in part F of the regulations. In order to obtain points in the on snow classes, the canicross and the scooter 1-dog classes there shall be at least 5 starters. In the Dryland classes with 2 or more dogs the minimum remains 3 starters. Also a rule to rank the athletes with the same total number of points at the end of the season is added in H.4 of the regulations. This rule will apply already for the final results of the season 2024/2025.
Seeing the number of corrections requested at the end of this season for events which took place much earlier during the year, a new procedure for reporting and correcting World Cup points is implemented. Each federation or race giving organization will get the points awarded for each event soon after the results have been received by the Accreditation Committee and will have 2 weeks to submit possible corrections. No correction will be accepted after that period.
In classes where Women and Men can be ranked separately, women and men shall have separate results to be awarded points based on the gender. If women and men are ranked as one single class, the points awarded shall not take the gender into consideration.
The accreditation fee of 50 € remains for the World Cup applications sent to the Accreditation Committee between 1 and 2 months before the event.
